Your Domain Name Holds Everything Together

Your domain name, such as yourbusiness.com.au, is what your website and your email both depend on. If it expires, both stop working. If its settings are wrong, your emails can land in spam or your website can disappear.

Behind every domain name sits the Domain Name System (DNS), a set of records that tells the internet where your website lives and where your email should go. Getting those records right is a specialist job, and it is one of the most common causes of website and email problems we fix.

Email That Lands in the Inbox

Three DNS records decide whether other mail systems trust your emails. Sender Policy Framework (SPF) lists who is allowed to send email for your domain. DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) adds a signature that proves an email really came from you. Domain based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) tells other mail systems what to do with emails that fail those checks. Set up together, they keep your emails out of spam folders and make it much harder for scammers to send emails in your name.

Do You Know Who Controls Your Domain?

Many businesses find their domain name was registered years ago by a former web designer or staff member, in someone else's name or on an account nobody can open. We find out where your domain is registered and help you get it back under your own control.

Australian Domain Names

A .com.au domain name requires an Australian Business Number (ABN) or company number. We register it in your business's name, so it stays yours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who should own my domain name?

Your business. It should be registered in your business's name, with login details you hold, not in the name of your web designer or a staff member.

What happens if my domain name expires?

Your website goes offline and your email stops working. If it is not renewed in time, someone else can register it. We track renewals and check every domain we look after daily.

Can you move my domain name without my email going down?

Yes. We copy every record across and check it before switching over, so your website and email keep working.

What are SPF, DKIM and DMARC?

Three records that prove your emails really come from you. Together they keep your emails out of spam and stop scammers sending emails in your name.

I do not know where my domain name is registered. Can you find out?

Yes. We can look it up and help you regain control of it.
